Lifetime Sky

When I look up at the sky,
I see self hate.
I see the girl that cried everyday,
And cut her legs.
I remember the guy who laughed
when he was bullied,
and cried when he was alone.
I remember the sisters,
who only grew close during tragedy
in fear and sorrow.
I think of the mother who lost everything.
I think of the father who is blamed for things he did not do,
and I remember the people I grew close to.
I think of my friends,
who are troubled and sad.
And I think of myself through all of these days.
Then
when the tears start to come,
I look away,
and pretend the sky doesn't exist.
