"A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have and still allows you to grow"

A bird is born,
in the air.
A bird takes it's first flight,
in the air.
a bird learns to love,
in the air.
A bird grows up,
in the air.
A bird grows old,
in the air.
A bird dies,
in the air.

The author's comments:
I have always been fond of birds. While we learn to walk and talk and eat and breathe and love on the soil, on the ground, birds learn in the air. They are free of all boundaries. They live the life we all want, except shorter. Look around, see what you want, be who you want, know no boundaries. Be up with the birds.

I can see the symbolization, and I like that, though I do not like the repetition very much... Although it draws the subject back to "in the air", it gives the piece a hollow feeling, what I think... Any who, I gave this four stars. Very nice. Keep writing! -Kait[lyn]
