Live like there is no tomorrow
Sing as if no one can hear
Love like you have never been hurt
Dance as if no one is watching
Laugh like no one is listening

Mommy, Mommy
You lie all the time
Even when I was only 5

I loved you so, because you gave birth to me
But you're a bad example, can't you see?

You break promises, you;re never here
But when I want to talk
You never lend your ear

Why did I trust you
When you did all these things?
You're not supposed to!
It's not a family fling!

You broke hearts all in a line
But the one you broke most was mine

This poem was composed by Jasmine Lees and myself. She was having trouble with a mother who has never really been there when she needed a woman figure to look up to. Being an alcoholic, divorced, and fresh out of jail, this woman made too many mistakes in Jazz's life, leaving her hopeless and taunted by a maniac. Without this woman, Jasmine has struggled growing up and being raised by her Dad who has, since day 1 always had his hand on her shoulder.
