Favorite Quote:
"Perfection is not about being without flaw, it's about not seeing your flaws as imperfections

as he sit on his perch
his eyes glimmering,
sparkling with a luster
the sheen of feeling safe,

he sits on my perch
curious to the world set outside,
he raise my wings and with a flap
THUD! He falls on his tail feathers,

sitting on his perch
his eyes darkened by the shock,
large metal bars surrounding him
however did he miss them,

on his perch
blinded by feeling safe,
what he thought was a sanctuary
turned out to be a prison,

his perch
glaring out to the sky,
his stomach twisting
feeling empty,

perch
empty like his heart,
he lays on the ground
dead from the feeling of imprisonment

This poem is about those feelings of wanting to escape their current lives, but being unable to do so for whatever reason.
