Into the Air
Intertwined between fingers,
she sways within the gusts of wind.
Floating, just barely, in the air,
but held grasp and pinned.
As she swirls in the twinkle,
of the rays of light.
A hand stays left,
but the breeze pulls right.
Unraveling and slipping,
from the weight holding her down,
she waltzes onto a lift,
that makes her twine come off the ground.
It lifts her and twists her,
Caresses her into a calming drift.
A sweet, rocking lullaby,
until there is a sudden shift.
Rigid blows and darkness comes.
Thunders shake her inside.
She is thrown, pushed and pulled,
on the storm filled, roller coaster ride.
She inches closer to the skies,
as droplets, pour down,
but she catches onto a open hand,
that the winds wrap her around.
Held safely in branches,
in the arms of the trees,
She shutters in the shelter,
Slowly back into ease.
