Metamorphosis
Like a newborn butterfly coming out of its cocoon, slowly taking a peek at the world. A new environment, a new perspective, a new body and a different attitude.
I step out of my cocoon, out of that comfort zone and into the world. A world full of anger, violence, and disease. It’s terrifying, but at the same time the scenery is breathtaking. A small and fragile young lady steps into the big and scary hallways of a new school. Leaving her old world behind. Leaving everything she’d ever known to dive into a world of crazy and misbehaved teenagers.
All enclosed in one building, she can already feel herself suffocating, she tries to call for help but nobody hears her. She has lost her identity and has now been lost in a sea of people. She searches for a safe heaven. Somewhere she can feel alright again, somewhere she can be her self, somewhere she can breathe. She knows she made a mistake, but it’s time to face the consequences and move on. It will be hard, it will hurt, but it will be okay. This newborn butterfly has new wings with which she will learn to soar, to reach her fondest dreams.
