You Told Me You Wouldn't Leave

you told me you wouldn't leave
but you did
you told me when i woke up you'd still be breathing
but you aren't
and here i am left with the thoughts of leaving
but in reality i know i'll stay
because deep inside i have hope you'll be back
and as dumb as that hope it
it's there, just like you were.
