Sonnet

Midnight Flight

Soaring high
The beast takes flight
Above the sky
In dead of night
With scales of red
And fire fierce
When overhead
It’s roar doth pierce
The dragon cometh
Ready your will
The battle begins when night is still.

Ballad

The battle
The beast makes ground, with evil wind
And so it is the fight begins
With blade in hand, you lead the charge
Ready to fight until your end
With flames of hell
And claws of steel
You deftly dodge

And strike its heel
The beast doth roar
A deathly row
A final strike
To end its tour

The blow is fierce
The beast has been slain
You return a hero
And all cheer your name
