A lone man stands
And paints
The Faceless Girl.
Few colors does he need,
The wall his canvas
For all the world to see,
Though it’s only for him.
The Faceless Girl is finished
Permanently or temporarily
Set on the wall.
But she can never come out
To comfort a lone man.
The wall was his canvas
For all the world sees
Though it is always for him.
