I'd Ask No More
If I asked you
Would you forsake me?
I wonder what you’d do..
But this anger is so blinding,
Why would I give my words to you?
I cant trust you’ll never leave me
These words you spoke don’t ring true
I’d ask for your forgiveness
But what did I ever do to you?
This hurt it stabs so quickly
The words don’t seem to describe
This anger doesn’t flash blindly,
You’re my world and once you were mine..
To give you up seemed so harsh
This world so bleak and cruel,
But find my simple sorrow
And in it you’ll find me too.
I don’t seek vengeance
Revenge is not my goal
I simply ask forgiveness
For what? I do not know..
So grant me peace tomorrow
Give me back my soul..
I’ll ask no more of you
If you’d just let me go..
