The American soldier

July 26, 2013

Every boy grows up to be a man
Every girl grows up to be a woman
But only a few
Grow up to be a soldier

They are a selected few
Who as they grew older
Knew the price of freedom
And became an American soldier

They take pride and dignity
In hopes that one day
They can spread liberty
To those that need it dearly

They are the few
Who protect our rights
In which they knew
It might be there last fight

For freedom is not free
To soldiers the price of freedom
As we all began to see
Might be there lives

For an American soldier
Is not brought into this world
But is made over time
By the few who take the call
