Man's Futility

They built the fortress upon a mountain
And said "Now we are safe
From all harm".
But when the mountain-of-a-giant awoke,
And yawned and stretched and flexed his muscles,
They realized only too well how safe they were,
And how secure was their fortress.

Man alone is never safe,
For he cannot differentiate between
Mountain and Giant.
