I am the Moon

But I am the moon
In the way that I don’t
Shine on my own.
It’s always you they
Look for first.
I am always the last.
The last invitation
To the party,
The last to find out
All our friend’s secrets.
The last to be included
In the group.
The last.
And like the moon,
I envy you too.
I wish I didn’t need you
For others to see who
I really am.
