"You cannot save people. You can only love them." -John Green

Sweet dreams

I bade to your sleepy eyes

As you tire to the sound of

The weepy skies

You wake in the morning

To a tender sunrise

You ponder through the day

The happiness of life

Then soon you know

The moon arrives

You frolic the fields

Of withered lies

And soon you're back

Called by the bedside

The pillow you lie on

Such a sweet reside

The words so hushed

To this quiet lullaby

They hang in your mind

As protection from the stormy night

So lay here sweet surrender

Your dreams delivered

Your beautiful slumber

On the restful side

I honestly cannot remember what I was thinking or feeling when I wrote this poem. However, I believe it narrates what it feels like to know suffering or sadness but to also know hope.
