If You’re Invisible Can You Still Disappear?
I see you wind through the labyrinth of halls
But you walk right passed me and my heart falls
My eyelids flutter and I hold back the tears
It’s the same old story that has occurred through the years
I stand a shadow against the wall, the ghost girl that’s me
But in your eyes I’m invisible and you never see
I could scream out and let my voice echo in this empty space
But you wouldn’t hear me in this overcrowded place
I’m just an indistinguishable ghost flickering through the air
In an instant I disappear as if nobody was there
But you don’t look up from the ground or blink your dull eyes
You don’t listen as my feet whisper across the ground; as I soar for the skies
I float through the heavens and leave you behind
Down in that prison where I never shined
I gracefully dance on the twinkling silver trail of a star
And just for a second I wonder where you are
But then I dive into the night, sailing and free
And somewhere down there you don’t even miss me
