Breaking Down
Tearing up is the most painful part of the process;
You’ve already compromised your control, your consciousness.
But you’re not ready to feel the rush,
the lukewarm rush of tears cascading down your cheek.
You desperately reach for closure, something to bring you back;
but its too late.
So you sit there, tearing up.
But you can feel the approaching river just a minute away.
One more minute before the geyser in your heart explodes.
And you just sit there,
hopeless.
