Thursday
Just around the bend
In the meadow towards the end
Wilts a flower thin and weak
Soft and silent
Small and meek
Fallen petals all around
Such a graceful death without a sound
All the life she could have had
Was swiftly taken by his hand
Picked too soon from her flower bed
Her grace and beauty sleep with her dead
Mother’s soil holds her tight
While Father’s sunshine falls to night
This flower wilts to find her peace
Her stem complies and her petals release
