Facing Challenges
Life is like a book full of blank pages,
there is an introduction, complication and a resolution.
From the start, life is great being a kid
All you remember is the memories, they seem like ages ago
And half the time you don’t even remember them.
The years go by, its all left behind.
We think we are older, more mentally able to cope with things.
We think we are stronger.
But are we really.
Those glorious, fun-filled days,
will one day eventually be destroyed by a ‘bomb’.
A ‘bomb’, the one event that occurs
just as everything is going right and seems great.
...
Right now, just then the bomb exploded.
The one time in your life
When it all goes
All the good, vanished
It feels like there is no escape, no way to cope with it and get over it
You’re stuck there - forever.
It seems like the end.
Now you feel alone,
Now you feel excluded,
The odd one out.
No one is there anymore.
It’s like the face of the planet has disappeared.
It’s not true though
They are still here though
Looking out for you
Watching your every move.
To make sure you don’t fall apart
and breakdown.
They catch you when you fall
They lift you back up high.
And now you realise
They never left
You just needed to learn,
how to walk on your own two feet.
Now everything’s alright again.
It all seems like one distant memory.
Just like your childhood.
