Where We Belong
You left a while ago,
but your scent stained my sheets,
and the warmth of your body lingers in the seams
I can still feel your body entangled with mine;
and the graze of my fingers tracing the small freckles on your back
or the way your skin would brush up against mine, every goose bump between us alive
I already miss the way your hand would graze slowly down my forearm
and finally settle gently in mine
or how the whisper of your words soaked through me, leaving behind a smile
More than anything, I want you to come back
so I can nap on your chest and feel your chest rise and fall
as I feel myself fall deeper and deeper for you
