My Best Friend

It is true that a dog is a man's best friend,
They are there for you to help a broken heart mend.
My dog has been in my family for ten years,
Those years have been full of laughs and tears.
My dog is small and white,
He always comes to me after my parents and I fight.
I taught him tricks whenever I felt alone,
He can still listen even though he is grown.
My old dog can not move very fast,
Because his strength and energy will not last.
Although he is ten and very old,
I know he has a heart of gold.
