So I Guess

The loveliest people
are the ones who crave
to be craved
and long to be loved
and wish to be wished for
but nobody can want them enough
because they'll keep staring in that mirror
and they'll keep counting up their freckles
and the dents in their smile
and wishing they weren't so full
of all the wrong
DNA.
So I guess
lovely people
are like the sky
when the sun comes up
Because they want to be loved so much
that they'd happily watch
all their stars burn out.
