Do not
Open you heart
To anyone.

For when you do
You won’t be able to stop
And then everything will be thrown back at you

So your eyes
Sizzle
So your heart
Aches
And so
You have been knocked down.

The author's comments:
This poem was inspired by the game crack-a-bout. It is a typical PE game that involves throwing balls at your friends at getting them out. I found myself in a situation where my friend had a ball and I said, "Don't" but she hit me anyway. It was out for the rest of the game. :-(
