I see a flower and I want it painted yellow
Happy, Optimistic, Mellow
I see growing symbols of spring
as the flocks of birds begin to sing

I see the petals as they fall
into a pile, soft and small
I see he happiness flowers can bring
as their beauty begins to ring

I look inside myself and see
a positive, uplifting me.
Like a flower I can grow
And be as gentle as the wind can blow

I see a flower and I want it painted yellow
Optimistic, Happy and Mellow

I like the rhythm of this; it's very soothing and makes me think of spring. Great title as well--it's unique so it catches the reader's attention. You accidentally used "he" instead of "the" in the second stanza, but other than that, nice job :)
