I’m sure you know the feeling-
The feeling when you aspire to do something
Or to be someone
Frowned upon by the uneducated of society-
Uneducated in what it’s like to live an adventurous life
Full of excitement
Adrenaline
New places
New people
New experiences.
No, people tend to go the safe route.
They know how to survive-
To exist.
Can you really call that living?
I have one chance,
One lifetime.
I need to explore these opportunities.
I can’t shy away from new.
Be brave!
The general public
The true menace to society-
I won’t listen to them.
I’ll listen to me.
The world is busy.
Caught up in the stress of jobs
Money chosen over passion
Money
What happened to the saying “Money doesn't buy happiness”?
Why say such uplifting, inspiring words
But not follow them yourself?
Is this a general consensus?
Is this the way to live?
When in pursuit of adventure I get
SHOT
DOWN
“It’s not a smart idea.
It’s dangerous, hooliganism, a death sentence.
Lack of income, not a good career, you won’t amount to much.”
The response I receive for how I wish to live
MY life.
A life full of joy.
It may seem my desires cross the line into foolishness-
I disagree.
Blatantly and honestly dis-a-gree.
I wish to live in the moment
Making great memories that in my final moments
I will remember myself as someone who lived life to its fullest.
Does that really sound irrational?
My happiness in one day
Will outshine what others can muster up in their
Entire
Lives.
Because I don’t want to survive
I want to LIVE.

This was based on me wanting to join the US Marine Corps and wanting a motorcycle. However I usually get negative thoughts when I share this with people.
