Indeed this Life

I look across the star-broad sky,
and sense the heavens calling me,
I look and see that my body is missing,
and in place the galaxies all remain,
I seek the closure I need from sky,
from earth, from moon from others, and I,
the closure I seek darkens and fades,
yet only a second,
to light it again.
