Beaten Down
I can’t escape the world I made
Stuck in a sticky place
Stuck in the mind I once had lost
Caught up in my own thoughts
I forgot about you
I forgot my name
I forgot the things that I made
Stuck in a sticky place
Lost in my own mind
I walk slowly completely blind
Paved streets with out soil
Empty subways
Streets with no names
Faceless people
Wearing to many shades of gray
Don’t worry I’ll beat them black and blue
I’ll beat them down for you
Too many words not enough space
How can one world have some many different names?
How can one world have some many different shapes?
Please believe when I say it’s okay
I won’t forget the choice you made
So long ago it surely was when we ran away
So don’t forget even if I do that I will always protect you
Your shape will be covered
Your body free
Even if you don’t remember a thing
No one will bring you pain except for me
I hold your heart with an iron fist so safely.
