Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught (Oscar Wilde)

This is not a poem.
I know it sounds cliche,
But even the word cliche has become
Cliche.

A paradox inevitable.

But I swear on Elvis’s grave,
This is not some shallow attempt of

Attention Seeking / Being ‘too cool to care’ / Cry for help.

I know I contradict myself,
But a hypocrite one must be,
To inspire another to tut and shame,
While teaching the others not to do the same.

Honestly, It’s a series of rants.

There is nothing mean intended to be,
We only mean to be.

This is not a poem, because I say so.

The author's comments:
It's an experimental piece that I did a while ago and now that I look back, it seems to have been somewhat influenced by the Dada movement after WW1. I guess I am trying (unintentionally at first) to embody the Dada spirit of questioning what art is and was.

It's very open to interpretation so I hope the readers make whatever they want out of it, as in essence, that's what the poem is about - defining art as however you want to define it.
