Chosing His Ending
In the back of his mind he heard all the loud voices,
The ones that brought him down and pushed him to stupid choices.
He closes his eyes and steps on the ledge,
Without looking down he jumps off the edge.
There was a splash as he hit the watery bed,
He washed up to shore but was he really dead?
After being unconscious for an hour he finally woke,
Unsatisfied he looked around for why he did not choke.
There was no big bright light,
Mad he didn't get it right.
Unwilling to move he laid there hoping to die,
Laying there he stared up at the dark, star-filled sky.
Closing his eyes he heard a voice,
There's a man who says he has a choice.
He can live forever or fall into death,
If he chooses to die he'll take his last breath.
If he chooses life he will be forgiven,
He will live forever with God in heaven.
For a split second he saw the man's face,
Thank you God for treating me with such grace.
Though I deserve death you offer me life unending,
I have chosen you, God, you are amazing.
