Mind Blind
My mind is blind.
Unable to see words that should fly freely
From my yearning pen.
No ideas come to me,
No path laid out.
I'm left with darkness
And no light to pierce it.
No twinkling stars
Asking me to write of their beauty.
No storm clouds
Ready to rain words onto my empty page.
I'm stuck in a drought of inspiration,
Perseverance and motivation.
My mind is blind,
But maybe I don't want to see.
