Hymn of my Body
this body
is a hollow hole.
even less
than what you see.
(I'm hardly here,
there's no me)
skin,
so weird
walls,
so strange.
they contain
deep thoughts,
long drained.
underneath
nerves
hang.
where flesh should be,
neurons send
messages of eternal lacking.
borderless pit
indifferently receives.
nothing good to arrive
leaves alive,
only blackness thrives
in this mind.
frayed strings
connect
to fading eyes.
clear images
darken
to sinister lies.
avert gazes
from souls and faces,
wishing they stayed
forever
inside the iris.
heart is an echo,
bound by divined obligation,
barely beating.
clear molasses
solemnly fills
vestiges of veins.
cold,
it flows
into strong fists
without need
to hit or rip.
(there's no enemies,
only a sadness I see)
cold,
it flows
into limp legs
that long
to intertwine.
(but I can feel no one,
just a blankness called me)
