Travelling Through the Dark
I found a mirror
Hanging on the wall of crackled blue paint,
Shiny and clear yet cloudy and blurry
Reflecting only that which my eyes can see.
Reflecting on my facade,
I thought how shallow and pale I appeared.
Yet travelling through my dark eyes,
I embarked on a journey, deep, into my forgotten soul.
My mind recalls the sweet memories of childhood,
But my heart recalls the pain I endured.
My face does not reveal my pain and passion,
But my eyes are the true mirror of my soul.
