They are protective and careful, wishing to give their children the best that the world has to offer.
They show their love in the most bizarre of ways while trying to mold their child into someone who will grow into a respectable adult while still giving them space to be themselves, as if all the care in the world could prepare them for what awaits them in the future.
Ignorance makes them happy; thinking they can get their children ready for the pain they cannot be shielded from.
