A crimson pump, working
Shoving and ushering
Throughout the day
Pistons thrusting life
Rhythmically, exhaling
Roasted, red steam from inhaled navy.
Warming every point as it reaches its
Destination.
Forever holding pace
Until gears are shifted with age,
Absorbed with rust, pushing through
Filled pipes, only producing smoke.
Overheated and sleepy,
That with the last grind,
There is a halt
And only dust.
