Trust me, I know
Trust me, I know
I felt the guilt
I felt the pride
I felt worse things inside
I may seem different
I may seem strange
I may even seem slightly insane
But trust me, I know
What it’s like to hope
To pray for help
What pain is
To feel fear
What true friendship is
To never sleep
Trust me, I know
I can hide my feelings
Make them totally disappear
Never again to shed a tear
Pain is a mental flaw
And love is unreal
Music only goes so far
For comfort is never there
Punishment can’t be helped
Shame can’t be rejected
Harsh words can’t be stopped
Talking doesn’t help
Lying only hurts
Questions can’t be answered
Thinking is questionable
Laughter is only a cover
Trust me, I know
That tears won’t come
Feelings slip away
Death is only left
But you wait another day
Keeping to the shell
You scream in silence
Hoping one may see
How you truly feel
Hoping for a savior
To take you away
Feeling alone
Lost forever
In sadness without hope
So, trust me, I know
