fallen blossoms from a cherry tree
float aimlessly
on the water's calm surface
tiny ripples roll into oblivion
the balance is fragile
and a disturbance
sends the blossoms down
down
down
drowning slowly at the bottom
innocence was lost
but even dying
they are beautiful
and i love those lost blossoms

The author's comments:
This is not about cherry petals. It is about someone who the cherry petals represent. They can't seem to be happy, but I will always love them. It's a simple poem which is why there is no capitalization.
