Try to see things from my point of view
Can't you see how everything we do is in vain?
We claim love as our own, to fill some kind of void
We are born with an emptiness, and live to fill it
I've lived, I've learned, there are temporary fixes
Little outlets into what become addictions
Things we try to let go of, but don't
Because that emptiness remains
And it's terrifying
And confusing
And con only
Be filled
By death

Maybe that's why people kill themselves

The author's comments:
People say it's unexplainable why people kill themselves. I agree. But I think it's because of humanity's void.

I saw that typo right after I sent it in and was upset at myself about it. Haha. Atleast it is easy to know what goes there. Thank you for your feedback!

“If it weren’t for the coffee, I’d have no identifiable personality whatsoever.” –David Letterman

I think you meant "And can only." :D I could argue the point that people actually have reasons to commit suicide, that they don't do it just on a random whim, but that would defeat the point of this poem. I like how it makes me think. I also love its potential for a good, long debate XD Anyways, good job and have a nice day!
