ode to my hair
Every morning I wash
My hair.
It smells like fresh
Raspberries and peaches,
I comb it and make it
Stay where I want it to
Be, but when it won’t
Obey my orders I put hair spray.
When it does something I don’t
Like I cut it short because it
Covers my eyes, like it doesn’t
Want me to see something
Then it grows out.
When it’s windy
It gets frighten and
Moves crazily it won’t stay
In place it goes wild,
So I put a hair tie leash on it and it stays put
When the day ends I give it a bath
And let it rest in the night.
