Just a Friend
Wasn't always like this
wasn't always alone
didn't have to watch you walk away
Now its set in stone
Even though I caused it
I'd take the pain away
I would hug you, kiss you
I would love the pain away
And still, I am but a friend
maybe the time will come
when I can have another chance
before my life is done
Being just a friend
I have to sit and wait
so you can open up your heart
just open up that gate
to your heart, soul, mind, body
open up for me
give me another shot
let me make you happy
And still, I am but a friend
the time wont come
no more "second chances"
Now, my life is done.
