The Night-Time Traveler
The night is warm
The wind, calm yet chilled
Walking alone on this darkened path
Alone in the forest
Only with a lantern
As my guide
Brings comfort and safety
While alone in this forest
Traveling to the next town
Hearing only the swaying of my lantern
And the leaves blowing in the wind
While traveling alone in the forest
I walked till morn
Exhausted yet relieved
Staying in town till dusk
Where I'll walk again
Alone in the forest
