Mysterious Blue

Blue is the unknown universe intensifying as time flows by; the outlandish dark energy that swerves through the galaxies and bursts around planets at extraordinary speeds that no person thought possible.

Tick, tock, tick, went the clock as it barely hit midnight before the sound of the bang bolted through the ears of the slumbering citizens--so loud it was silent.
The light that overpowered any speck of blue sent it flying across the black firmaments.

Everything from the past was gone, like a student suffering from amnesia; nothing to keep the cosmos running, no twelve exoplanets orbiting, no nebulas swirling, all was void.

Even Heaven’s glistening.

All was gone but the tiny speck of blue that became known as the universe, slowly expanding and dying, starting the life of the organisms again, as time goes by.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem because of my interest in how the universe forms. No one really knows how it formed, therefore I thought of it in my way. Also blue is my favorite color so I had to include it so picturing how this universe forms is easier to imagine. I think the reason I chose the universe as the main subject in my poem was because of my role-model, my grandfather; we do talk about space quiet a lot.
