Only human.
It's not that you don't care,
you just tend to forget;
forget that I'm human,
forget that I can only handle so much before I break.
Everyone fights and thrust their way into my time;
each taking a piece of me until they're satisfied,
stretching me so thin...
...and cringing in surprise when I finally crack.
You still expect me to carry on,
as if I can take on the world
and pretend like everything's alright.
But everything's not alright;
I'm not alright.
Please,
just stop demanding,
and start remembering,
I'm only human.
