Here Goes Nothing
Into the Grey, Forever Lost With the Frey
Running through the forest,
Stumbling, falling and tripping,
This latest journey has put him to the test,
He notices where his wounds are, blood is dripping.
He hears off in the distance a shrill cry,
His time is short and needs to keep going,
Because if he were to stop, he’d surly die.
He begins to run,
He hears the howls, snarls and growls in the distance,
It is the setting of the sun,
He feels the cold and his muscles tense.
As he breaks for a clearing,
A beast jumps in front of him.
He knows the others are nearing,
And his survival is very slim.
He runs some more,
Hoping there’s an exit for sure.
Reaching for his phone to call for help,
A beast shot out at him with a yelp.
He leaps for a branch,
But he misses and lands with a “cranch.”
His ankle is broken and all hope is lost.
He sees a beast and his blood turns to frost.
A beast clamps his head,
Two more grab his thighs.
The words he wants to say cannot be said,
And the light fades from his eyes.
