Forgetting Days
The tumble of the white foam
Passes my feet to feel like home
Grains of sand wash away
Help me to forget the day
Sting of the water leaves me cold
I forget and run into the untold
Water now at my waist
I sink in without haste
Deeper and deeper I go
Just swimming in the flow
Floating on my back
The birds don’t make a crack
Waves getting bigger
Every one crashing with vigor
I dive under feeling the rush
Water folding above me to crush
The pattern of the waves is calming
With me above just bobbing
Time escapes me and the sun is almost down
The beach is clear with no one around
I make my way out waiting for tomorrow
As I leave I fill with sorrow
The water has left me collective
And I have a new perspective
