But I block them out
I hear his compliments
But I never believe them
He wants to help me
But I push him away
Why do I push him away?
I'm afraid to let him get closer
To let him into all my secrets
I'm afraid he'll turn out like the others
Lying to my face without notice
I'm afraid to love him
Because I'm afraid
He will never love me back
