Confidence
I wish I would of been told,
About having self confidence.
Because now, as I grow older,
I'm really starting to need it.
Hiding behind my skin like shell,
hoping I won't be judged.
I have this really funny comment,
maybe something they could relate to.
No, don't say it, never mind. Keep going.
It sometimes creates a living hell.
Something I may want to say,
but I'm are afraid to say it.
So I keep it in,
Letting it deplete me.
I wish that when the time comes,
And I do get to voice to an audience.
Maybe just maybe.
They'll listen.
