Sound
The rush of the waves,
 The spray of the ocean
 Assaulting my senses
With the taste of salty air,
With the squish of sand beneath my feet,
 Bare and boldly trudging along.
 A misty wall of water
 Brushing past my face
 Sweeping into the sleeping city,
A city that breathes, with a gentle hush,
 In and out.
 I inhale the seascape
 And exhale the beauty
 Of this foreign land,
 This nighttime town
Which no one else can see
 And of which I feel
The touch of the sky and the sea and the city,
 And wondering, I whisper,
 “This is where.”
