Patricia
She did that,
I can do it better

You think you’re the best,
You thought wrong

You run
I sprint

I’m on top,
Everyone else is below me

Anything you can do,
I can do better

Abigail
She bought that,
I want it too

The new Iphone just came out,
I already have it

You have two pairs of shoes,
I have ten

You got one-hundred likes,
I want two-hundred

I want,
No, I need everything

Emily
She wore that,
So I wear that

Her hair looks like this,
Mine does too

She is super thin,
I just won’t eat

She smoked that,
Well, now I smoke it too

Whatever she does,
I do too

Wendy
My mom tells me no,
I make her say yes

If it’s not my way,
There is no stopping me until it changes,

You say it was an accident,
I don’t care

I’m short-tempered,
I yell

If you don’t like me,
Deal with it

Lindsey
I like them,
Boys

At parties,
I’m usually with them

I get taken advantage of,
I don’t mind

We do things,
Sometimes, I’m terrified of my future

I have a bad reputation,
Oh well

Gina
Pastries are my favorite,
Cookies and cakes and brownies

I do eat a lot,
I love it

Chocolate,
Chocolate-covered everything

I love barbeques,
Hotdogs, hamburgers, and steak

It satisfies me,
Fills me with ecstasy

Sydney
Why do today,
What you can do tomorrow

Weekend homework,
I’m too busy

Chores,
Not that important

Do this,
Do that

I’ll do it all,
later

The author's comments:
, “Seven Sister Sins” was originally written for a “My Generation Poem” project in my English class. Each sin represents a negative aspect of the kids in my generation. Also, each sins is characterized by a different girl. Although my poem is a negative view of my generation, I feel like past generations are very judgmental of mine and disregard all of our good qualities for our bad ones, just because we are caught up in technology.
