Surveying
One day I knew.
Because the sunshine is in my hair,
Telling me I’m safe.
Because the cool breeze is filling me up,
Making me feel infinite.
Because the earth is vibrating through my bones,
Daring me to leave.
And I know it’s time to jump,
To stop holding my breath and let anything happen.
The bud is ready to see the world.
I am ready to stop dancing behind walls.
