Meaningless words
Are strewn in the air
The voices, they talk
but none full of care

Silent is my voice
Still is my body
Locked in a tower
Guarded with no key

My soul longs to speak
Yet fear hinders me
What if no one understands
The pain they can't see

I've lived for so long
Masking my emotions
Distorted by their opinions
A voice lost behind commotion

The things that were
The things that are
Mesh together as one
Entwining in confusion

Loss drenches my heart
That I can't put into words
An indescribable pain
Of things that once were

I really enjoyed this poem!!!  I've been sleuthing around trying to find it for a long time since you avoided the question of what your username is.  Hopefully I've got the right username... but great work!!
