A Dove I Once Knew
Once upon a time,
I walked across a lone road,
The endless road of life.
One day a divine light came
And an elegant, white dove crossed my path.
She was one of a kind,
Flying through the boundless sky,
Painting the winds
And singing through the day & night.
She was held by no chains, no limits.
Throughout our journey,
Rough winds & rain came,
But we stuck by each other through the thick & thin.
However all journeys must come to an end
And one day we separated paths.
I always found myself looking back,
Even when I was moving forward,
I could never forget her.
Every well I passed,
I always threw a coin & made the same wish,
Hoping the stars were crossed,
And one day I hope her heart’s desire
Will bring her back to me.
